Women's Center Advocacy & Support Services

The Women's Center at Virginia Tech is committed to providing a comprehensive response to those who have experienced sexual assault, relationship/domestic violence, stalking, harassment, cyberstalking, and cyberharassment and to providing outreach and education to prevent violence against women. From answering questions to more ongoing assistance, the Women's Center offers a range of services to those who have experienced abuse; below are frequently asked questions about those services. What services are provided?

  • Advocacy
  • Crisis Intervention
  • Short-term counseling
  • Support groups
  • Accompaniment to law enforcement, medical facilities, and judicial proceedings
  • Information and referral

Who can receive services?

The Women's Center at Virginia Tech serves all members of the university community who have experienced sexual assault, relationship violence, stalking, cyberstalking, or harassment. This includes women and men, students, faculty, and staff. We also provide services to friends, family members, or others who are supporting someone who has experienced these issues.
